The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Data who will be able to help;
Lead our Data Team
Lead a small team of data engineers and analysts to bring the business and architectural visions to reality.
Grow the technical and non-technical capabilities of those within the data team.
Work with and manage external suppliers to provide data services across the organisation.
Drive Adoption & Business Change
Develop an adoption & transformation strategy in conjunction with organisation business functional managers
Provide Strategic guidance on developing a data-driven culture across the organisation
Co-Design our Data Processing Architecture
Continue developing our Big Data processing capability through warehousing, lakes and ETL.
Partner with engineers to integrate data capabilities into existing software product portfolios.
Explore relevancy of data streaming architectures within the organisation
Establish Data Governance
Establish data quality management standards and monitor their implementation
Implement processes to facilitate regulatory compliance.
Conduct Data Modelling, Guide Analysis & Visualisation
Partner with analysts and engineers to model data across the organisation and build insightful analysis and visualisation for business stakeholders.
Partner with analysts and organisational managers to build meaningful BI reporting.
Essential Requirements
Strong Experience with a Cloud Solutions provider (AWS/Azure/GCP), ideally AWS.
Strong Experience with Python and common analytics libraries
Strong Experience with Data architecture design including warehouse & ETL pipeline design.
Experience with Big Data Analytics & Machine-learning processing capabilities.
Experience working with business stakeholders to conduct requirements elicitation and build a transformational data strategy.
Experience defining and designing data governance processes.
Experience with data visualisation best practices.
Experience leading a small project or product team for a sustained period.
